I'm having login issues — what can I do?
If you’re having trouble logging into your account, try the following steps:
Reset your password
You can reset your password by visiting our password reset page or by clicking the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page of our mobile and web apps. You can choose to send yourself a link via the email or phone number associated with your account.
Password reset messages may take a few minutes to appear. Each time you request a new password reset email, any previous password reset emails will be invalidated as a security precaution, so only the most recent email you've received will work.
Make sure you're using the correct email address
Sometimes people create a Splitwise account with one email address, then try to sign in later using a different email address. If you see a message that Splitwise can't find an account for you, it may be because you signed up with a different email.
If you're attempting to log in on the iPhone app with Google login, add a password to your Splitwise account
Our iPhone app doesn't currently support direct Google login, but you can add a password to your Splitwise account by entering your Gmail address on our password reset page. Once you've done that, you'll be able to log in with your Gmail address and new password.
