Overview

Splitwise is looking to grow our People Operations team in our Providence, RI office. The primary responsibility of this job is to assist with coordinating our hiring processes and ensuring every team member has an exceptional experience from day one.

Splitwise is passionate about employing extraordinary people. Our hiring and onboarding processes are extensive and involve many team members. In this role, you’ll be the operational backbone of the hiring team, including building processes that enable Splitwise to scale effectively and creating seamless onboarding experiences. From responding to every email promptly to creating a great on-site experience for new team members, you will be the face of our organization to candidates, demonstrating the Splitwise culture in every interaction you have.

The People Ops Coordinator role at Splitwise requires someone who is highly organized, empathic, and proactive. We’re looking for folks with strong communication skills and good people instincts that know how to make candidates feel comfortable. The right person for this role will be able to juggle different tasks at once and keep the hiring process moving along quickly. This job will report to the People + Business Operations team member, Jen.

We're a small team and you can make a huge difference in helping us find the best people to build an app used by millions of people around the world. This role must work from the Providence RI office. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor employment visas or work authorizations for this role.

What you'll actually do at Splitwise:

  • Coordinate complex interview schedules between candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels across multiple calendars and time zones
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience
  • Maintain and update candidate records in our ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Prepare interview materials for interviewers
  • Assist with tracking key recruitment metrics
  • Source candidates who would bring value to the Splitwise team
  • Foster long-term relationships and efforts
  • Organize initial onboarding steps for new hires

Things about you:

  • You have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership of the projects you are assigned to
  • You are highly organized and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • You enjoy working from the office and being the go-to person for candidates and employees
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with candidates and internal teams
  • Valued but not required:
    • Previous HR, People Operations, recruiting, and/or project management experience
    • Experience working at a startup or small company
    • Background in tech and familiarity with Splitwise
    • Data entry and analysis

Compensation range:

  • $61,000-$85,500/year base cash compensation
